YUST, LARRY. Metro, Paris: Dominique Carre, 2004. Large oblong folio, edition of 1000 signed copies, pp. 134, printed boards with black cloth spine, double-page color illustration, signed on the title page with a presentation inscription on the copyright page. Text in French and English. Yust's signature is a doodle; the presentation is signed by the Metro's tourism director, Karine Rickard, and says in French: "A souvenir of your Paris tour. Thank you for your visit." The pictures are called "photographic elevations" in which you can see the entire length of a Metro stop in one double-page viewing, which is more than a meter long. Each double-page image is actually a group of pictures assembled to look like just one. The technique is perfect for the subject matter, giving you the sensation of standing on a Metro platform. Condition of this book: Boards moderately worn with a few surface scratches and chips. Leaves clean and tight, images fine.
